Introduction
Although bearing a superficial resemblance to some of the more derived ithomiines, such as Ithomia amarilla and Oleria zelica, Aeria spp. are "just little Tithoreas," according to Keith Brown (pers. comm.), as is born out by recent phylogenetic analyses.
